Navigate through our comprehensive FAQ section and find clear and concise answers to your queries about our agency, the registration process, our policies, and much more.
1. Can I apply if I don’t live in London?
Yes, we accept all forms of talent from all around the UK. However, please consider that most castings take place in London and the surrounding area. Travel expenses and accommodation costs are generally not covered. Engagements can take place all over the UK and even abroad, so this should also be considered when committing to the industry.
2. Are you a sole agency?
No, we do allow you to register with other agencies, however we do ask that you inform us of any agencies you have registered with as a courtesy. We believe that once you have worked with us you will want to only use our services.
3. Do you guarantee work?
We wish! We cannot provide any guarantees that you or your child will secure work.
4. Do you accept applications from talent with disabilities?
Yes, 100%. We fully support diversity, equality and inclusion and firmly believe that there is talent in all of us.
5. Do I / my child require professional photos/videos?
Professional photographs are not required, but we do require any photos to meet industry standards especially after the age of 3. We are happy to recommend a Photographer for obtaining your headshots. Videos do not need to be professional but must refrain from including any profanity, sexual content, violence, drug or alcohol use or any offensive language including but not limited to appearance, gender, sexual orientation, religion, race or skin colour.
6. Will I miss work or my child miss school?
The majority of engagements for adults and school children will be during working / school hours and some at weekends. You will need to ensure your manager / head teachers are aware that you are part of an agency and that they are happy to support you. For any children an absence permission letter will be required as this is a requirement when applying for a Child Performance License.
7. What are your commission rates?
Our commission rate is below market standard at 5%, but we do require a monthly subscription fee of £10. This covers the maintenance of our AI (artificial intelligent) tools and STP (straight through processing) booking tools. The fee allows us to keep the technology up to date and cutting edge and our commission fees dramatically reduced accordingly. We do not charge any upfront registration fees and there are no additional hidden costs, but we do ask our Talent to be registered with Spotlight, at an annual cost of £121.20 paid directly to Spotlight.
8. What is Spotlight?
Spotlight connects performers with roles in theatre, television, film productions and commercials around the world and casting professionals use Spotlight to cast their projects.
9. And if I have further questions?
